Salary

Each post is graded, with pay determined within the relevant grade based on individual performance and achievement of objectives. There is no automatic progression; annual pay reviews take into account performance and contribution.

    • Contract: Permanent
    • Salary: £86,270 – £91,625 per annum

Hours & Flexibility

The standard working week is 37 hours, with flexibility required for evening meetings, briefings, or events. We offer agile working and family-friendly policies to support a healthy work-life balance.

Probation

Appointments are subject to a six-month probationary period.

Holidays

You will receive 30 working days of holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays. Part-time staff receive pro-rata entitlement. Staff may also purchase up to an additional 5 days (pro-rata) through our annual leave purchase scheme.

Pension

The role is part of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Employee contributions range from 5.5% to 12.5% depending on earnings, supplemented by employer contributions currently over 17%. Full details are available at www.lgpsmember.org.

Relocation Assistance

A contribution of up to £8,000 is available to help cover relocation expenses.

Mileage

Travel expenses for business use of cars, motorcycles, or bicycles are reimbursed at HMRC rates: Car – 45p/mile; Motorcycle – 24p/mile; Bicycle – 20p/mile. Insurance and documentation requirements apply.
